The Cheshire East numbers come after the Congleton Household Waste and Recycling Centre shut down on September 5, 2021. This was due to the lease expiring and the site being returned to the landowner.
It is imperative Congleton has a modern household waste and recycling centre reinstated. If we are to reduce our waste going into landfill, reduce fly tipping scourging our countryside, reduce our car journeys and pollution to the site, then we simply must fight for a new centre.
